Siha to Agepro: Our Journey to Proactive Ageing
We Started Siha to Solve a Pain. We’re Building Agepro to Prevent It.
The Spark
We didn’t start with a business model. We started with a moment of loss.
My grandmother passed away without access to home care—one of the most preventable failures. No one showed up. No support system existed. And it left a scar. Around the same time, my co-founder had also been exploring healthcare. Our conversations kept circling back to the same problem: Why is it so hard to age at home in India, with dignity?
So we said, “Let’s build something.”
Narrowing the Problem
We started broad—“home care for everyone.” But that quickly proved too noisy, too undefined. The real need, the one no one seemed to be solving well, was elder care.
And not just basic assistance. Seniors needed something deeper: continuity, personalisation, and proactive care that didn’t wait for emergencies. That became our north star.
Imagining a New Kind of Care
We weren’t thinking like a traditional home care agency—we were thinking like systems designers.
What if every elder had a customised care plan built from an in-home assessment? What if their vitals and symptoms were logged in real time? What if we could catch risks early, and help people live longer, not just get support?
That vision shaped everything. We didn’t want to just place caregivers. We wanted to create an infrastructure for long-term, tech-driven care at home.
